DISCOVERY MASTER

Often the ability to move a case forward for evaluation purposes, settlement, filing of motions and or trial is hampered because of the inability to promptly resolve discovery disputes. Consilia-CR principles are available to serve as Discovery Masters through court appointment pursuant to Colorado Rule of Civil Procedure 53 or by agreement of the parties. We can assist the parties in all aspects of discovery from development of an overall discovery plan to allow orderly progression of the case to providing expedited resolution of motions to compel or motions for protective orders and sanctions, thus avoiding time delays and additional costs which result from unresolved discovery disputes. We can assist the parties in addressing issues regarding ESI and voluminous paper documents, preparation of Confidentiality Orders addressing confidential, privileged and trade secret information, in cameral review of specific documents to determine whether they are subject to disclosure or discovery, and issues regarding scope and timing and costs of depositions.
