Elizabeth Smyth Walker
As one of the founding members of Consilia Conflict Resolution, LLC, an ADR firm focusing on alternative dispute resolution services, I provide mediation, mediation training and meeting facilitation services.
My ADR practice includes mediating disputes involving land use, real estate (commercial and residential), earnest money, landlord/tenant relationships, breach of contract, divorce/child custody, parenting time, and employment issues.
My ADR practice is informed by my business experience including my role as president of Vertical Real Estate Consulting, Inc., a real estate acquisition company, specializing in leasing and acquiring governmental land use entitlements. I worked with corporations and property owners negotiating contracts and drafting real estate documents. I also worked with governmental entities to obtain land use entitlements. I represented clients before boards of county commissioners and planning commissions and facilitated meetings in Colorado, Wyoming and New Mexico.
My previous ADR and legal experience includes disputes involving breach of contract, divorce/child custody, land use, real estate, insurance, and employer/employee disputes. I was an associate attorney at Ayd and Johnson and also drafted and negotiated managed care contracts for Great-West Life Insurance Company.
I have prepared and led a 40 hour Introduction to Mediation Training as well as a 16 hour class on Advanced Mediation. I have been a moderator and presenter at CLE ADR trainings, on subjects such as ethics and real estate.
In addition to my private mediation practice, I mediate cases for the Jefferson County Mediation Services program and serve as Director of Onsite Mediations/Associates for the Colorado Bar Association Court Mediation Services program.
